At VGS, we build platforms based on reliability, accountability, and security. Our events operate on a foundation of mutual trust and professional accountability. Whether you are an attendee, speaker, sponsor, or VGS employee (collectively, "Participants"), our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and high-signal environment where everyone can collaborate and benefit.
By participating in a VGS Event, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Security & Physical Integrity
- Access Protocols: Do not share your badge, circumvent security checkpoints, or assist others in gaining unauthorized access to the Event.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all venue security instructions, including health protocols and emergency procedures.
- Safety Infrastructure: Do not alter or obscure any safety signage, obstruct exits, or misuse equipment provided for the community's protection.
- Health & Wellness: To protect the collective health of our attendees, do not enter the event if you have a fever or are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness. If you cannot attend for health reasons, contact info@agentconnectsf.com to discuss virtual participation or registration alternatives.
- Reporting: If you see something, say something. Report any unattended bags, safety hazards, or suspicious behavior to VGS staff or security immediately.
2. Respect
VGS has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination that targets individuals in a derogatory way. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment: Verbal or physical conduct based on race, sex, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or religion.
- Intimidation: Stalking, unwelcome photography/recording after being asked to stop, or threatening gestures.
- Inappropriate Content: The use of sexualized images, slurs, or offensive "memes" in presentations, at exhibit booths, or on digital platforms.
- Physical Force: Pushing, shoving, or any unauthorized physical contact.
3. High-Signal Participation
We value technical excellence and constructive dialogue.
- Disruption: Do not interrupt sessions, "heckle" speakers, or engage in sustained disruption of the event flow.
- Online Conduct: These rules extend to our digital platforms (e.g., Slack, or social media). No "trolling," spreading knowingly false technical claims, or destructive commentary.
- Attire: Wear professional attire suitable for a tech conference. Clothing containing offensive slogans or imagery is prohibited.
4. Responsible Consumption
- Substances: If alcohol is served, consume responsibly. Participants who are visibly impaired or behaving aggressively due to substance use will be removed.
- Machinery: If you are handling or operating heavy equipment or dangerous materials, you must maintain total sobriety.
5. Reporting & Incident Response
If you feel unsafe or witness a breach of this Code, please report it immediately:
- On-site: Locate an event staff member (identifiable by a clearly marked “staff” t-shirt).
- Digital: Email info@agentconnectsf.com or use the reporting feature in our event app.
6. Enforcement
Anyone asked to stop a behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a Participant violates this Code, VGS reserves the right to:
- Immediate Ejection: Removal from the event without a refund.
- The "Blacklist": Ban from all future VGS events and digital communities.
- Legal Action: Referral to local law enforcement for unlawful acts.
